1 (1 lb. 2.25-oz.) box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, room temperature or cold
3 large eggs
1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can apple pie filling
Crumb Topping:
2/3 cup white flour, sifted
2/3 cup white granulated sugar
5 tablespoons butter, room temperature or cold
In a large bowl, use a fork to mix together the dry cake mix and butter. Stir in eggs. Place apple pie filling on a plate and cut into smaller pieces with a sharp knife. Stir into cake mixture. Spread in a greased 9x13x2-inch pan.
In a medium-size bowl, use a fork to combine the flour, sugar, and butter for the crumb topping until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of cake mixture and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
