Pickled Polish Sausage

Note: You can divide this recipe easily and only make 1 quart to see if you like it. Don't forget to eat the onions, they're delicious.
2 pounds Hillshire® Farm Polish Sausage (precooked), large chunks
2 medium onions, sliced
2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup water
3 cups white vinegar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
